Student Assessments
Bible Assessment: After learning about what it means to love selflessly, we split up into partners and served in various parts of the school. They did a variety of tasks such as: read to younger grades, sort library books, serve in the finance office, and clean the IT room. After, we came back together and they journaled as well as shared whole class about their experience. They begged to be able to serve again and spoke of the joy in helping others.

Bible Assessment: We put on a chapel for the elementary students and teachers about the greatness of God. After gathering some of their own ideas of what makes God great and coming up with moves they thought would portray His greatness, we put together a dance and skit. The chapel also included two worship songs, a video, and a memorized passage of Psalms 145.

International assessment: Students researched their home country on the computer and then created a poster displaying the information they found. They also brought in items from home to share with the class and teach us about their culture.

Language Arts assessment: These students love to read! Once a month they created a book report on a book they had recently finished. They loved this opportunity to share their love of books with their classmates and the audience, in turn, always had interesting questions to ask of the presenter.

Math assessment: We used popcorn to demonstrate understanding of division. Their peers in fourth grade came in and worked one-on-one with the students as they learned long division. I often challenged them with complex problems and problems that required teamwork. I also differentiated their fast facts to meet the needs of the individual students.

Science assessment: Students experimented with sound and light. After drawing their own conclusions, they made a STOMP show that showcased what they had learned through whole brain learning, song, dance, instruments, and narration.
